Fee

 $23.00 (athletes can play one singles event, one doubles event, and one mixed doubles event for $23.00) *Please be aware, playing in three events can result in playing up to six matches on Saturday.
Each member of a doubles team must complete a separate Individual Entry Form, pay the $23 entry fee, and indicate on the Individual Entry Form who the doubles partner will be.

Men's 35 & Over and 45 & Over divisions: Sat., July 19, at 9:30 am
All Women's divisions (Except Women's A): Sat., July 19, at 10:30 am
Wheelchair, 55, 65, and 75 divisions: Sat., July 19, at 10:30 am
Doubles (first rounds)

Competition Information

Format

All divisions will be single elimination, best 2 of 3 sets (12 point tie breaker at 6-6 in any set). If the first two sets are split, a tie-breaker will be played in lieu of the 3rd set. Regular scoring. There will be consolations for all singles divisions. There will not be a playoff for third place. Both players will receive bronze medals. Each entrant will be given an opportunity to play at least two (2) singles matches. The tennis commissioner has the right to combine divisions if necessary. NOTE: Prior years A and B champions should play in next division higher or age division if eligible.

Divisions

Open Division: For players with advanced, competitive skills and significant tournament experience. This would include (but not be limited to) the following types of players:
Players with inter-collegiate experience in the past seven years
Players with state high school tournament experience in the past four years
Players that are currently ranked by a state poll or are the top singles player on a competitive team

A Division: For players with competitive skills, but limited tournament experience. This would include (but not be limited to) the following types of players:
Players that are mainly recreational players with solid tennis skills
Players with some high school tennis experience
Players that may compete in a local league but may lack tournament experience

B Division: For recreational players of modest skill.

Medals for first, second and third.

Entry Information

Pre-registration is required for all events.  No on-site entries will be accepted on the day of the tournament.  Each member of a doubles team must complete a separate Individual Entry Form, pay the $23.00, and indicate on the Form who the doubles partner will be. Players may enter one singles category, one doubles category and one mixed doubles category for the entry fee of $23.00.

Rain Information

If rain occurs, matches will be played at the Ames Racquet & Fitness Club South (320 South 17th St., 515.232.1911) during the rain delay. The tennis commissioner has the right to limit the doubles entrants to one doubles or one mixed doubles category in the event of rain or inclement weather.
