TOP
Format
10 & Under: Round robin pool play. Medals will be awarded to each
pool based on pool
play. All games will be 6 innings (1 hour 30 minute time limit).
12 & Under: Round robin pool play. The top team in each pool will advance
to play in a single elimination championship bracket. All
games will be 6 innings (1 hour 30 minute time limit).
14
& Under: Round robin pool play. The top team in each pool will advance to play
in a single elimination championship bracket. All games will
be 7 innings (1 hour 45 minute time limit).
RUN RULE
A run rule shall be
used to complete a
regulation game when
one team's margin of
lead is greater than
or equal to the
listed run
differential in the
table below.

Equipment
Teams are responsible for providing their
own catcher's equipment, bats, batting helmets and etc.
Game
balls will be provided by the Iowa Games.
Diamond Size
10 & Under - 12 & Under - 60' baseline;
14 & Under - 90' baseline.
Pitching
Distance
10 & Under - 12 & Under - 46
feet; 14 & Under - 60 feet 6 inches. Pitchers: May pitch a
maximum of 12 innings in the tournament. (One
pitch is considered
a 1/3 of
an inning AND is considered a complete inning for all pitchers.)
Rosters/Changes

Teams may have a
maximum of 20
players. New
players and/or replacement players must complete an
Individual
Entry Form and the waiver must be signed by a parent or
legal guardian (for athletes under the age of 18). For replacement
players, please indicate which player they are replacing.
Roster limits will be enforced.
Coaches who register
online are allowed to make roster changes online. To make

Rules
I.H.S.A.A. rules with modifications. A no designated
hitter policy will be used. In the 10 & Under - 12 & Under
divisions, runners may not leave the base until the ball leaves
the pitcher's hand. If the runner leaves early, he is ruled
out. No steel spikes will be allowed in the 10 & 12 Under
divisions.

Entry Procedure
Register online or submit a
Team
Entry Form and proper entry fee by the above deadlines.
Entries walked into the Iowa Games office and online entries
will be considered that day's postmark. Divisions will be
filled in order of postmark date. Slots cannot be held. The
Iowa Games will maintain the list of registered teams. Teams
in excess of the maximum will be placed on a waiting list.

Umpires
Each team is
asked to provide two umpires who will be available
to umpire on game day. Umpires do not need to be certified,
but need to have
basic knowledge of
baseball.
