Format
6
vs. 6 Open divisions may be any combination of male and/or
female players. 3 males and 3 females per coed team
will be required to start each game. Play will consist of
matches in a "best
of five" format in
which the first team
to win three games
will be declared the
winner of the match.
During pool play all
five games will be
played regardless of
the results of the
first three games.
Pool play will be
followed by a single
elimination
tournament.
NOTE: Not
all teams will
qualify for the
single elimination
tournament.
Rules
MANDATORY TEAM
MEETING: Prior
to the tournament
starting, a
MANDATORY TEAM
MEETING will take
place at the
facility. The
sport commissioner
will review rules,
court monitors
responsibility and
enforce the Iowa
Games philosophy on
sportsmanship.
Meeting time will be
announced on the
schedules.
COURT
MONITORS: All
contests will be
supervised by a
court monitor and
EACH team will be
scheduled to serve
as the court monitor
for the division you
have entered.
Court Monitors
consist of 2
monitors on the
middle line and 2
monitors on the end
lines.

National Amateur Dodgeball Association rules
will govern play. Substitutions will be permitted
during time-outs. Each team will be allowed one 30 second time-out
per game. A person who is already out of a game may sub back
in during a time-out. Females must sub for females and males
sub for males in the coed division.
Eligibility
All athletes
competing in the adult division must be 16 years of age or
older.
Age Determining Date
The high school open division and 5 - 8th grade open
division will play based on the 2009-2010 school year.
Participants in the adult open division and coed division
must be 16 years old by July 24, 2010.
Roster/Changes
Postmark deadline:
July 14
Online Deadline: July 21
(waivers must be in the Iowa Games
office by 4:00 pm on
July 22)
Teams
may have a maximum of 10 players. A player can appear on only
one team roster and can play on only one team. New players and/or replacement
players must complete an Individual
Entry Form and the waiver must be signed by a parent or
legal guardian (for athletes under the age of 18). For replacements
please indicate which player they are replacing. Roster
limits will be enforced.

Equipment
The Iowa Games
will provide all game balls. Rubber cleats are acceptable.
