Format
The format will be determined by the number of
entries in each division but will attempt to use the
following format in
each division:
The tournament
will consist of pool
play with two games
to 25 points and a
cap of 27 points
(must win by two or
first team to 27
points). Rally
scoring will be used
in all games.
Bracket play will
follow pool play
with the number of
teams advancing to
bracket play
determined after the
entry deadline.
Teams advancing
to the finals will
play two out of
three games to a
score of 23 points
and a cap of 25
points (must win by
two or first team to
25 points).
The third and
deciding game will
be rally scoring to
15 points and a
cap of 17 points
(must win by two or
first team to 17
points.) Rally
scoring will be used
in all games.
Officials
Teams will "call" their own matches.
Equipment
Each team is required to bring at least one good game ball.

Player
Identification
Should questions relating to an athlete's
age occur, they must present a form of identification before
being allowed to play. Forms of identification that are approved
will be passport, driver's license, driver's permit, or a
copy of a birth certificate and photo.
Roster
A team may have a minimum of two (2) players if participating
in the (2 vs. 2), four (4) players if participating in the
(4 vs. 4) and 6 players if participating in the (6 vs. 6)
competition. A team may have a maximum of four (4) players
if participating in the (2 vs. 2), eight (8) players for the
(4 vs. 4) and 10 players for the (6 vs. 6) competition. Coed
teams must contain
equal numbers of
males and females on
the court at all
times. All
games must be started with the minimum number of players but
may be finished with less. A player may compete or be listed
as a player for only one (1) team.
Roster Changes
Postmark deadline:
July 14
Online Deadline: July 21
(waivers should be turned into the
Iowa Games office by 4:00 pm on July 22)
New players
and/or replacement players must complete an
Individual
Entry Form and the waiver must be signed by a parent or
legal guardian (for athletes under the age of 18). For replacement
players, please indicate which player they are replacing.
Roster limits will be enforced.
Coaches who register
online are allowed to make roster changes online. To make

Entry
Register online or submit a team entry form
and proper entry fee by the above deadlines. Entries
hand delivered to the Iowa Games office and online entries
will be considered that day's postmark. Divisions will
be filled in order of postmark date. Teams in excess
of the maximum will be placed on a waiting list. A
list of registered teams will be maintained on the Web site.
Rules
Current USA Beach Volleyball rules will apply.
