Senior Open Women
Teams must have at least 25% of players be
21 years of age and older.
Format
Bracket or round robin play. Scoring will be based
upon a 10 point scoring system detailed in the tournament
rules. If a tie exists in points after all preliminary
games, then it will be broken based upon criteria outlined
in tournament rules. Teams may be formed in any way.
Games will be 30 minute halves.
Teams may be divided
into subdivision(s) based on a team's rating level. Each
team MUST submit a competitive rating level between 1
and 10 on the entry form. A rating of 10 is the
most competitive team ranking. Please contact the
Iowa Games office at 888-777-8881 ext. 3 if you have
questions concerning your rating.
Age Determining Date
The first day of competition. Players must
be at least 16 years of age by the day of the tournament to
participate in this division.
REFEREE
REQUIREMENTS:
Each team is REQUIRED TO PROVIDE
QUALIFIED CENTER REFEREES to officiate or assist
as needed in at least three (3) games.
Generally, a qualified official:
- must be able to referee the center at the division
level for which the team is registered.
- should be someone you would want to work your gold-medal
game
- should have some experience
- can be USSF, AYSO, or High School registered
- does not have to be certified,
but merely needs to meet the requirements listed above.
A
referee only can be listed for a maximum of two (2)
teams. Teams will be held accountable for submitting a
qualified referee(s) that will complete three (3) games!
These requirements must be met or the team will lose
advancement points or forfeit games.

Player I.D.
Players must present one of the following I.D.'s
at team registration to be eligible: copy of a birth certificate
with photo attached, driver's permit/license (no photocopies
allowed), provide a current player pass, or passport.
Roster
Female players may register separately on one team outside
female divisions and one team within female divisions.
NOTE: No special scheduling arrangements will
be made to ensure there are not schedule conflicts. If
scheduling conflicts occur it is the player's responsibility
to decide in which game they want to participate. NO
SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL BE MADE! Male players may register for only one team. Roster
changes may be made at no additional charge and must be
postmarked by July 16. Teams that originally register
online may make roster changes online until July 21.
New players and/or replacement players must complete an
Individual Entry Form and the waiver must be signed by a
parent or legal guardian (for athletes under the age of 18).
For replacement players, please indicate which player they
are replacing. No roster changes will be allowed in
the Iowa Games office after July 21. On-site roster
additions will be accepted on Friday, July 25, or Saturday,
July 26, just prior to the team's first game of the
tournament for $20.
On-site additions must be handled through the Senior Soccer
Commissioners with a maximum of five (5) on-site roster
additions per team. On-site roster substitutions are
not allowed, only roster deletions (no refunds) and/or
additions (at $20). On-site roster additions are not
guaranteed a T-shirt. Roster limits will be
enforced.

Sportsmanship
The Iowa Games
believes very
strongly in
promoting good
sportsmanship and
character. A
sportsmanship award
will be given to one
team in each
division.
