Format
All divisions will be single elimination. Best
2 of 3 sets, "no add" format (12 point tie breaker at 6-6
in any set). If possible, there will be consolations for all
singles divisions. There will be no consolation matches for
doubles and mixed doubles. There will not be a playoff for
third place. Both players will receive bronze medals. If possible,
each entrant will be given an opportunity to play two (2)
singles matches.
The
Tennis Commissioner has the right
to combine divisions or adjust the competition format if necessary!
Order of Competition
Singles competition has priority over
doubles and mixed doubles; doubles competition has priority
over mixed doubles. Delays are inevitable. Expect
delays from weather, competition, rest periods or travel between
venues. This is a 2 day tournament. Please don't schedule
other competition on these days. The more you win the longer
you stay in the competition. Athletes could play several matches
in a day. Plan accordingly!
Rules
Current rules of the United States Tennis Association. The
use of "no add" in all matches will be the same format as
used in high school tennis matches.
